We have been using this product ourselves for many years and have abused it constantly. It never rips and even though we have put melting pots directly on it, it hasn't melted through. Of course, we do not recommend putting hot melting pots on it, but we all know things get crazy when the wax is ready to pour and you forgot to wick the mold! The best part is when you are not making candles just roll it up and store it with your other supplies. No more messy newspapers, no more ruined table tops and best of all - the wax you spill will pool up and you can just pop it off and melt it down again. No more wasted wax!
